When people ask me, “what do you do?” my answer is usually, “I work with cool people on cool projects.”
I have had a lot of jobs in a few different industries over the years, and in that time, I‘ve found that rather than specializing in a particular discipline, my area of expertise is primarily problem solving. Once you've mastered the art of how to figure something out, you can do almost anything.

These days, I work full-time as the Motion Control Supervisor at The Garage Rentals.
I have a few responsibilities, including operating our various robots and motion control systems, maintaining that equipment and working on ways of improving and innovating, and working with clients to set and manage expectations about how motion control works. I’m also perpetually on the lookout for potential motion control operators and training new prospects.

Before going full-time, I worked primarily as a technician in commercial filmmaking and photography - pretty much anything having to do with a camera and/or a computer - whatever the job called for, I was up for it.

My ability to bridge the gap between art and technology has given me the opportunity to work with some of the most interesting and talented creative people in the world.

While I enjoy the challenges of leading a team and calling the shots, I prefer to collaborate and work in a crew.

Coming up with a cool idea isn't easy, but making it happen is where the real opportunity lies. The production process - figuring out how to do something and then seeing it through - is what drives me.

I am perpetually researching, learning, and discovering new things, following current trends in technology and creativity - and I‘m always eager to share what I know with smart, motivated, creative professionals.

I‘ve put together some of the things I've done in the past here.
