I  work as a Digital Tech with many talented photographers, both in studio and on location, with just about every kind of camera and lighting system you can think of. If I haven‘t worked with it before, I can probably figure it out pretty quickly. And most importantly – I‘m very good at improvising solutions to problems that come up when you least expect them.

I've been getting more and more into shooting video, as well. Projects ranging from simple interviews to time lapse movies, to complicated macro work on fancy watches. I also work as a DIT on film & TV projects, handling data management and assisting with the camera.

I enjoy working with fine artists who paint and sculpt, photographing their work in a collaborative way, and getting things looking just the way that artist likes.

I also shoot portraits of pets, interior design.

I have an ongoing relationship with Thames & Hudson, and my work has been featured in several of their books including Verve: the Sound of America and Blue Note: Uncompromising Expression. We are presently working on two more book projects, which are due out in 2015.

My technical expertise and enthusiasm for learning have led to some unique opportunities.

I‘ve worked with motion control systems to produce high-end product videos, as well as high-speed video cameras (the Phantom) to capture super-slow motion footage of things exploding and splashing. I would love to do more of this.

I worked with Control Group (where I was employed as a Systems Analyst in the past) on the development and deployment of Royal Caribbean‘s Virtual Balcony system, using Red cameras and customized hardware and software.

I managed the equipment room at DTouch NYC for about two years, catering to the high-end fashion world and maintaining an array of digital capture systems and computers. This job was also a great opportunity to learn where to find just about anything photo-related in the city.

I‘ve worked as an IT guy for several different companies including Control Group, Apple, and the Leo Burnett company in Chicago. I also worked for myself as an Apple Certified Consultant for several years, doing all sorts of interesting work with creative professionals in the Chicagoland area.

I worked for a video game company (now owned by Microsoft & Bungie), at first as a play-tester, and later in their graphics and marketing department.

I‘ve also spent a lot of time in recording studios, both as an audio engineer and as a musician (I play the drums). Many of my recordings can be found in the iTunes music store and on Spotify.

I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where I met and collaborated with some of the most talented artists I know.

And I also make false teeth (kidding).
